Hope told Thomas that she was suffering when she thought he died. He said he goes overboard because he loved her. He explained that he wasn’t trying to hurt her. He wanted her to know how he felt about keeping her baby from her. He felt about doing that to her. Brooke walked in while they were talking. She was shocked that Thomas was alive since he fell in acid. He told her that he fell in cleaning solution. Brooke was happy he was alive. He wondered if she really was happy since because she didn’t tell Ridge that he’s alive. Brooke found out he allowed Hope to believe that he was dead. She thought Ridge should find out about it.

He thought it was a new chapter for them. Brooke left the room. He said he wasn’t trying to threaten Brooke. He wanted her to know that they weren’t that different. He hoped faking his death made Hope forgive him for everything. He wouldn’t dispute the paperwork. He wanted to work things out for Douglas. He didn’t want to take another kid from her.
Ridge and Shauna were talking. He told her that Brooke would be back soon. She didn’t want to cause problems for him. She loved his commitment to Thomas. He talked to Shauna about Thomas and Douglas. He was surprised that he signed the custody papers. She thought that Thomas could fix what happened with Douglas. She rubbed his back before she left. Brooke showed up not long after Shauna left. She told Ridge that Thomas was with Hope. She told him that Hope didn’t want him to know about Thomas right away.
Brooke told Ridge that Hope thought Thomas was dead. Ridge didn’t understand what she meant. She told him what happened between Hope and Thomas the night he fell. She told him that Thomas fell in the vat. Ridge got upset. She assured him that he didn’t fall into acid. Ridge realized Hope didn’t say anything about it. Brooke tried to defend her daughter’s actions. He reminded her that he asked her about his son, but she wouldn’t tell him anything. They thought Thomas was missing and didn’t say a word. He wanted to know how that could have happened.
